Nick O'Brien

Head of Drama

LAMDA, GCSE Drama

 
 
Nick studied drama at Staffordshire University and then went on to do a P.G.C.E in drama at Keele University. He trained as an actor and director at the Science School of Acting. Nick has taught acting and drama for 12 years and has directed a number of plays; he is also a GCSE drama moderator for Edexcel. Recent theatre includes Anton Chekhovs; 'The Propsal' (Etcetera Theatre). Bruce Delamitri in Ben Elton’s ‘Popcorn’ and Anuckin in ‘Marriage’ at Shepkin theatre, Moscow. Television work includes Band of Brothers and Hide ‘n’ Seeks both for the BBC. Film roles include P.L.O.P and Deadly and recently played D.C Smith in Mysophobia. Nick has recently directed the Joseph O’Conner play 'Red Roses and Petrol’

Lucas Hare

LAMDA, Acting

Luke trained at LAMDA. Film and TV work includes ‘Die Another Day’, Eastenders, Hearts and Bones, Touching Evil and The Bill. Theatre work includes The Tempest (Shared Experience), The Docter’s Dilema (Almeida), Twelfth Night (Sheffield Crucible) and Romeo and Juliet (Hull Truck). Directing work includes numerous productions and workshops at LAMDA.

Debbie Manuel

Performance Drama

 

Debbie trained at Mountview. Since graduating she has appeared in various shows including; ‘Anyone Can Whistle’ and 'The Dream Dealer’ at the Bridewell theatre in London, 'Magic of the Musicals' at the Theatre Royal, York, UK Tour of 'Big Trouble in the Little Bedroom', directed by John Godber and the Number 1 UK Tour of 'Moll Flanders'. When Debbie is not acting she enjoys teaching her classes at NLPAC where she has worked since 2003.

Lenny Peters

LAMDA

Junior & Youth Drama

Lenny trained at LAMDA; he has toured extensively throughout Germany, Spain and the UK. His theatre work includes Macduff in 'Macbeth', Algernon in 'The Importance of Being Ernest' and 'Hi, I'm Vince' at Jackson's Lane Community Centre. Film work includes 'Landlords', 'Misunderstood' and 'Superstitious Minds' for Channel 4. Lenny has appeared on television in 'Off Your Box' and 'Talk to me' for the BBC.
Ashley Russell

Improvisation, Performance Drama and Workshops

Ashley has recently graduated from Mountview Academy with a Masters in Perfformance (Musical Theatre), she also gained her Ba Acting at Queen Margaret University College where she performed many parts in company productions. Ashley is now auditioning for roles in Musical Theatre, TV and Stage work.
Gemma Baird

Drama

Since graduating from Mountview Academy with a Ba Honours degree Gemma has appeared at The London Palladium in Scrooge, Oldham Coliseum in Sleeping Beauty and played the role of Fantine in Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre, West End.

 Dean Stobbart

MT and Workshops

Dean has taught at NLPAC for four years. He trained in performance at Mountview Academy and has been working as an actor and singer since graduating in 2002. He has appeared in the West End as ‘Sky’ in ‘Mamma Mia’, ‘Our House’ and ‘The Ballad of Elizabeth’. Dean has appeared in ‘Angel Cake’ (BBC) and ‘Where The Heart Is’ (ITV).
