ABOUT US
NLPAC was founded by the Principle Emily Byron over 15 years ago.
Due to growing demand and interest NLPAC expanded it's premises to over 3 floors of purpose built studios and music rooms and now offers an extensive program of classes and workshops which is updated regularly.
NLPAC is also a registered charity and a non profit making organisation. We invest all proceeds back in to the centre ensuring we are able to provide up to date equipment, resources and the best teaching staff. As an organisation we are committed to providing quality, affordable classes and workshops in performing arts for young people.
We offer formal performance arts examinations following the syllabus of ISTD, RAD, LAMDA, ABRSM, ROCK SCHOOL and GCSEs, in Dance and Drama in addition to private Music Classes, Street Dance, Break Dance, Stage School and Drama.
NLPAC certainly offers performance opportunities for children at all levels. The Centre is very proud of its successful Dance Troupes who have performed everywhere from Sadler's Wells Theatre to Buckingham Palace and there have been annual showcases at the Old Vic, Alexandra Palace and the BBC Hippodrome. The drama department showcases three plays at Jackson's Lane Theatre every year for each age group and older students regularly perform at the Edinburgh Festival.
NLPAC also gives children the opportunity to perform professionally. Students have appeared in West End theatre productions such as Les Miserables and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang; many TV shows suvh as Eastenders, The Bill and Murphy's Law; numerous adverts and films, (Billy Elliott, Bridget Jones, The Exorcist and Harry Potter amongst many others). Many of NLPAC's ex students are now familiar faces, regularly popping up on TV, stage and in major films.
NLPAC is a registered charity organisation which provides affordable arts provision.
